The models GPSMAP 276Cx support the Russian GLONASS satellites |
Very rugged, portable, multi-functional GPS devices with brilliant 5 inch color display, GLONASS support, electronic 3D compass, barometrical altimeter, integrated base map, pre-installed recreational map of Europe, slot for µSD memory card, Blue Tooth, WLAN and USB interface, successor of the legendary GARMIN GPSMAP 276.
The GARMIN GPSMAP 276Cx is equipped with an integrated base map, a pre-installed recreational map of Europe, an electronic 3D compass (3D = tilt-compensated compass which means the device doesn't have to be held level for accurate reading of the heading), a barometrical altimeter, 7.2 GB of memory and a slot for an µSD memory card. It can communicate via Blue Tooth and WLAN and has an USB connector plus connectors for external power supply and an external GPS antenna. It supports autorouting - an optional map is required - and wireless data exchange with compatible devices. This device is suitable for outdoor activities (hiking, biking etc.) and thanks to its voice guidance also for navigation in vehicles - optional car mounting kit with built-in loudspeaker or optional headphone required for voice guidance. In addition, there is a marine mode for navigation on boats. It is easy to operate using keys, has a graphical interface in various languages plus a very sensitive GPS antenna. The display is easy to read and can be configured in many ways. The GPSMAP 276Cx is powered either by a rechargeable battery (included, lasts for up to 16 hours), three standard AA batteries (last for up to 8 hours) or by an external 12V source. This device can not only receive the signals of the U.S. GPS satellites, but also of the Russian GLONASS satellites. This provides improved accuracy of the position indication, particularly under difficult conditions such as in cities with tall buildings, in narrow valleys, near steep cliffs and in dense forests.
