All items are available while supply lasts. If you have questions, please use our contact form. |
The models of the Montana 700 series support the U.S. GPS and the European GALILEO satellites, the Montana 700 supports also the Russian GLONASS satellites. The Montana 700i/750i support sending and receiving short messages and triggering an interactive emergency call to GEOS via Iridium satellites from every location worldwide. |
Very rugged, portable, multi-functional GPS devices with excellent, extra large color display featuring multi-touch. Highly suited as hand held devices and as navigation devices in vehicles. Fast switching between different user interfaces and operation modes through adjustable profiles, shortcuts and dashboards. Built-in base map and pre-installed map TopoActive Europe which supports auto-routing. Electronic 3D compass, barometrical altimeter, optional heart rate and cadence sensor, support for Wi-Fi, Geocaching Live, Active Weather, Connect IQ, Live Tracking, USB interface, slot for optional µSD memory card, auto-routing and round-trip calculation. The model Montana 750i is additionaly equipped with a built-in 8 Megapixel camera. All models support the U.S. GPS and the European GALILEO satellites, the Montana 700 supports also the Russian GLONASS satellites. The models Montana 700i and 750i are capable of sending and receiving short messages and triggering interactive emergency calls to GEOS via Iridium satellites from every location worldwide without the need of a mobile network (inReach subscription required).
The devices of the GARMIN Montana 700/700i/750i series are equipped with an integrated base map, an electronic 3D compass (3D = tilt-compensated compass which means the device doesn't have to be held level for accurate reading of the heading), a barometrical altimeter, a slot for an uSD memory card, an USB connector plus connectors for external power supply. They adapt the display to the current orientation. Simply rotate the device to change from landscape to portrait mode and vice-a-versa. The pre-installed map TopoActive Europe supports activity-based auto-routing which means, the device computes a route from the current position to an arbitrary destination based on the current activity such as hiking, biking, mountaineering etc. These devices are suitable for outdoor activities and thanks to their voice guidance also for navigation in vehicles (optional car mounting kit required for voice guidance). In addition, there is a marine mode for navigation on boats. They provide an easy to use touch screen and a graphical interface in various languages plus a very sensitive GPS antenna. There are various ways to configure the display. There are also different dashboards with preset data fields to be placed on the application pages. The devices are powered by a rechargeable battery which lasts up to18 hours in standard mode and up to 330 hours in the expedition mode with reduced tracking. They may also be powered by an external 12V source. These devices can not only receive the signals of the U.S. GPS satellites, but also of the European GALILEO satellites - the Montana 700 can additionaly use the Russian GLONASS satellites. This provides improved accuracy of the position indication, particularly under difficult conditions such as in cities with tall buildings, in narrow valleys, near steep cliffs and in dense forests. This is especially helpful when searching for geocaches. The models of the Montana 700 series support various communication means which includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and data exchange with other GARMIN devices. The Montana 750i is additionally equipped with a 8 megapixel built-in camera which automatically stores positional information about the images taken (geo tags).
There is an optional external antenna available to increase the signal reception of the GPS and GEOS signals (Montana 700i and 750i only).
The devices are equipped with 14.3 GB built-in memory, of which the pre-installed map TopoActive Europe and other data occupy about 7.6 GB, which means there are about 6.7 GB left free for user data and additional maps.
